Myanmar Internet Project(MIP) seeks to document the history of the Myanmar Internet – past, present and future – by consolidating and amplifying existing research, with a particular emphasis on making Myanmar perspectives more widely available.
The MIP was established in 2022 by the researchers, practitioners, and advocates.

After the coup, the Military has oppressed the internet and digital freedom. Digital Coup means that a digital dictatorship is imposing on netizens, media outlets, internet service providers, and social media platforms.
The MIP researchers, studying about digital repression incidents which are facing in the coup periods, analyze the digital repression cases and report to the public once every quarter of a year.
